How It All Started...

"Go take your bath, dress up quickly, we are leaving to USJ 9 at 7! I'll pack your dinner and you'll eat it in the car. I DON'T CARE, you just be quick!" These are the commands I hear from my Commander at Home.. a.k.a... MOM, after I arrived home from school one Monday evening. For a dull and 'routined' working mom, she'll be occupied with housework and preparing dinner for the family like any other days. Today, she moved like a Wonder Woman after work, dashed back home in the speed of light and prepared dinner in a flash. Could you imagine... she could lay out from nothing to 3 dishes in an hour! Wow! It's EXTREMELY rare to see mom get this excited, as if she had just found a pot of gold! I am curious to find out what caused the excitement.

I always enjoy mom's cooking. I took my time to enjoy her 'secret recipes' - fried egg with preserved vege, stir fried cabbage and sardine served with white rice, while mom is on the wheel, jamming patiently in the traffic from Kelana Jaya to Subang Jaya. When we were in the car, mom finally shared with me where we are heading to. She is excited to find out about Shaklee because dad and I had benefited from the supplements for his gout condition and myself for my eczema. As for herself, mom had improved from her constipation condition, which she visits the toilet 3 times, not a day, but a week. Can you imagine the 'aroma' after her 'big business'? Whew.. I don't think you want to go that far! Besides, she also felt that her backache subsided, numbness on her hands improved and she is more energetic, after 'curi-curi' consume the products for about 2 weeks. Nevertheless, the thing that got mom so curious because she saw her colleague reading this book. The colleague felt lazy to explain what she was reading so gave her the address, which is Wisma Dynamik, 14-3, 2nd Floor, Jalan USJ 9/5N, Subang Central, and told her to find out more over there.

Despite the 45-minute journey, we finally arrived. I looked up and saw the name, Wisma Dynamik, a 3-storey shop-lot painted in blue and green. As we reached the entrance on the 2nd floor, we were greeted by this gentleman in his business attire, tie and spectacles. He introduced himself as K Sow and welcomed us in. To my surprise, it was a huge turnout. I had an unusual feeling when I entered the room... the atmosphere! Everyone seemed to be so happy. The room was filled with laughters everywhere. Everybody welcomed us, even though we knew nobody! Regardless of different ethnicity, everyone was chit-chatting with everyone, just like family members and friends who had seen each other for ages! The environment was so warm, just like home, or I should say... it's better home! I had never felt so much warmth and caring feeling ever! This feeling is indescribable with words. AWESOME!

As the clock strikes 8, everyone gave a thunderous applause and the meeting started. I came to understand there are 2 parts of of the meeting, product knowledge and business tips training. Everyone was so relaxed listening to the speakers and laughing away throughout the meeting. By the time we looked forward to the next laughter, the meeting came to an end. Mom and I enjoyed ourselves greatly. An announcement was made, there will be a business opportunity session, same time tomorrow. Mom and I, looked and nodded to each other, indicating we will be back for more. We hanged around to get to know some people for awhile and headed back home. We were so excited of this new-found environment, so much so we couldn't stop talking about it until we reached home! 

From there on, I have been going Home weekly. It has already been awesome years! Wow, time flies... Nevertheless, this is a wonderful Family, the Shaklee Dynamic Family Global... a.k.a.. SDFG. This is a truly caring Family that is filled with unconditional love. Their relentless supports, encouragement and motivation had guided me to be a person who I am today. This Family had never taught me about sales, figures and charts, but they built the strength of character in me to be a better man. I am truly blessed and grateful to grow further with this Family for the rest of my life. Thank you. 

Shaklee and Me

Why Shaklee? 

It began in 1997. Shaklee came into my life when I was a chronic eczema sufferer for 8 years. Eczema is a range of persistent skin conditions. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes that are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skinedema (swelling), itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. My eczema was so chronic that the 'infected areas' cover from my head to toes. The only body part that was spared was my 'wee-wee part'. Thank god my eczema still have mercy on me! 

Just like any other parents who love and wanted the best for their kids,  mum and dad had spent nothing less than RM20K to help their only child to rid off his 'unwanted friend' with all sorts of ways. They seek numerous advice from the medical professionals and skin specialists. That usually ends up with various types of steroid medications - jabbing, oral and application. They costed a bomb! Medications do help to improve the condition but... only to a certain extend and for a short time period. After that, the symptoms relapsed. Then, neighbors of grandma from 'kampung' (mum's hometown - Malacca) recommended mum to bathe me with gunny sacks of wild herbs. So mum washed the herbs... boiled for hours... and poured them into a basin for me to soak myself in it for 15 minutes... EVERYDAY! Can you imagine what a mom can do out of love for her kid? That's why moms are the greatest of all in the world! Awesome! Besides that, I also drank soups cooked from snakes and sea eels by mum. They are believed to enhance blood circulation in the body. Well, I always love mum's cooking, especially her soups. However, as for these ones... err... no comments (if you get what I mean). When all else fails, we tend to turn to the last resort... Our Creator. Being a devoted Taoist, we prayed in numerous temples and drank uncountable times of water with the mixture of the burnt talisman and even bathed with 'blessed' hot spring water! Best of all,  mum resorted to vitamins bought from her workplace that distributes health supplements. After months of consumption, nothing seemed to improve. My skin was still itchy, reddish, dry, flaky, cracked, oozed with yellowish pus bled from the scratch. My skin flakes terribly. If ever there is a sweeping competition, mum is definitely the champion! She sweeps the floor 4 times a day due to my left-over skins. In terms of food, I had to be very selective. I couldn't take chicken, seafood (my favorite), yam, nuts and even cold drinks. These foods caused itchiness almost instantly. Other than that, I could not come in contact with carpets, animal fur and also and washing detergents. With all the above mentioned, mum worries of these 2 issues: (1) Will i be able to work or be employed? (2) Will I be able to find a girlfriend?

All efforts seemed hopeless until one fine day dad said to mum: "Shaklee products had helped to improve my gout condition tremendously, why not let our son try them?" Without a second thought, mum swung into action.  Seeing dad had improved from his 10-year gout condition, she gave it the last shot. Mum just gave me the products dad was consuming during that time due to the lack of knowledge in Shaklee food supplements. She started to discipline me in consuming the supplements on a regular basis. Due to the long-term high consumption of medications for the past 8 years, I experienced lots of healing process. With full of determination, we persevered. After 3 months, my eczema was much lessen.  

I am truly blessed and grateful that Shaklee came into my life 16 years ago. It changed my life ever since, especially in my health. Today, my eczema had not disturbed me. I feel awesome living a healthier and better life today. I am convicted to Shaklee for the rest of my life. Shaklee is in my blood. Do remember my dear friends, health is wealth.
